12.5m ultra-low floor with a seating capacity of 55 (one door) or 51 (two door) with two wheel chair positions provided by 6 flip up seats and a standing capacity of up to 33, dependent on final specification.
Integrated body and chassis constructed of 304 stainless steel, fully welded, with alloy and composite flooring. This and other light weight components give the vehicle a tare weight of approximately 10,500 kg, depending on chassis weight and final specification. The fully loaded weight is approximately 16,000 kg and 84 passengers.
A choice of bonded or aluminium framed windows. The aluminium framed windows feature rubber keyed glass for rapid replacement, resulting in less down time. All vehicles feature a one piece windscreen, allowing for uninterrupted forward driver vision.
HEATING AND COOLING
Various options available, dependent on specifications. Air-conditioning is ducted throughout the vehicle. The Kinox or Aurora heater demister, with two speed fan, allowing for a mist free vision in almost any climate.
One piece roof, front & rear header and one piece side sheets. All panels are constructed from fire retardant fiberglass, with an option of ‘quick change’ side skirts, constructed from 5005 aluminium. The three piece front and rear bumpers and front corners are segmented for quick changing.
The VST body is highly versatile and will integrate well with most major chassis manufacturers such as Volvo, Mercedes Benz, M.A.N and Iveco.
EXCELLENCE IN DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION
The Bustech VST is considered the “Rolls Royce” of urban buses, winning many awards for excellence in design and construction. Ease of cleaning, the cantilever seats, all stainless steel interior rear header and stainless steel panelling to the rear of saloon seats, makes it a graffiti artists night mare. Built with consideration for routine maintenance, with large high swing doors and floor hatches in appropriate places. Another winning aspect of the VST is the design of the driver’s area. The switches, ticket machine, safe, desto controller and radio are all in arms reach. The driver’s comfort is also important, with air conditioning being ducted to the windscreen, keeping the area cooler on hot days and clear of mist on cold wet days.
